JOSH TIESSEN STUDIO GALLERY

Two-Person Exhibition

Booth #4040

Established in 2010 between Toronto and Niagara Falls, Josh Tiessen Studio Gallery has been voted #1 in the region for the past three years. The gallery features the contemporary realism of international award-winning artist Josh Tiessen and guests. Oil paintings employing symbolic imagery demonstrate innovation and technical mastery.

Established in 2010, nestled between the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario, Josh Tiessen Studio Gallery features the studio space and art gallery of Tiessen's work, occasionally joined by guest artists for special events. Both the artist and art gallery have been voted #1 in the region for three consecutive years by Hamilton Community News Reader's Choice. Visitors from all over the world, travelling the QEW highway between Toronto and Niagara Falls/Buffalo NY, find their way by following blue Ontario Attraction Signage at the Fruitland Rd. exit. City directional signs lead to the gallery a short drive from the highway, on the edge of historic Olde Town Stoney Creek, on the SW corner of King St. and Gray Rd.

Attached to the back of Tiessen's 80-year-old tudor style home on a property of thirty trees, the studio gallery is located in a large sun room with skylights and windows spanning the width of the home. There is an inspiring view of the escarpment, and the sight of squirrels, rabbits, and chirping birds splashing about in the fountain. While Josh paints at his easel, visitors view original paintings, limited edition giclée prints in framed and unframed versions, and read the stories he writes to accompany his work. Smaller mounted artist proofs and artist notecards are also available, plus the artist's recently published book "Josh Tiessen: A Decade of Inspiration."

Come and take a look behind-the-scenes at Josh's latest work in progress on his easel, and the unique equipment he uses to create his one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Due to the demand for Josh's paintings, please keep studio visits to a limit of 30 minutes. A small friendly Boston Terrier may greet you, please call ahead if this is an issue. We apologize that the facility is not wheelchair accessible.
